The Port of Mobile, dedicated in 1928, is a 4,000 acre facility with 41 berths and over 4 million square feet of warehouse and open yards.

Located on Mobile Bay, the expansive port handled almost 24 million tons of cargo in 2010. The port’s multiple facilities receive almost 1,400 vessels yearly containing heavy coal, aluminum, iron, steel, copper, lumber, woodpulp, plywood, fence posts, veneers, roll and cut paper, cement, and chemicals.

The channel depth is 40 feet in the river harbor and 45 feet below the tunnels.

The Port of Mobile is supported by the CG Railway and is adjacent to Interstate 10 and near Interstate 65.
